1928 Color Print Parlor Mount Vernon George Washington Home Rug Louis XVI France XEZ4 confectionary"The Rug in the West Parlor Was a Royal Gift" This is an original 1928 color print of the Parlor at the mansion on Mount Vernon, the lifelong home of George Washington. Shown is the rug given to him by Louis XVI of France, which was created in the design of the coat of arms of the United States. Strangely enough, the rug was never received by Washington, as it took nearly a century to arrive at Mount Vernon. CONDITION This 85+ year old Item is rated
