Weingut Daniel Vollenweider 'Goldgrube' Trocken Riesling Mosel, 2023 5 puttonyos 4% Colombard & 4% SemillonThis 100% Riesling is made from 120 year old ungifted vines, vinified for a year on its lees. Bone dry, intensely structured, and showcasing wild aromatics of smoke, menthol, bruised pear, and tropical fruit. This is an incredible example of what riesling can be. It is intense on the palate, but finishes just as gracefully as any low ABV kabinett. Pair this with dry rubbed pork cutlets, seared mushrooms, and miso glazed sweet potato.
