Georgian Amethyst "NEWS" Intaglio Seal Fob Pendant queen anne a reference to the GreekDATE: Georgian, c. 1820 An unusual Georgian seal fob with intaglio carved amethyst depicting (what looks like) a juggler under the word NEWS. I'm not entirely sure what the message is here 'tricks of the news' 'juggling the news'? Suggestions welcome. The stone is set over foil, allowing the light to reflect back through, and the fob itself is beautifully formed as flowers and leaves crafted in two tone 15 karat gold. STONES Amethyst MEASUREMENTS
