Italy, Sardinia, Kingdom. A Civil Order of Savoy, Knight in Gold, c. 1915 visually-hidden marked with a leopard's head(Ordine Civile di Savoia). Instituted in 1831. In 18K Gold, with light blue and white enamels, illustrating the interlocking monogram letters "CA" (Charles Albert) on the obverse centrepiece, the reverse centrepiece inscribed "AL MERITO CIVILE 1851", measuring 37. 5 mm (w) x 41. 0 mm (h inclusive of its integral suspension), weighs 20. 83 grams, small enamel chip to the 6 oclock arm, minor pitting in the enamels, original ribbon, near extremely fine.
