This kitchen piece was made by William M. Betty's Pennsylvania based company, whose main claim to fame was the line of broad axes used by shipwrights. This item is in fairly good condition, as the head and handle are both still tightly secured to each other and have no visible damage or noteworthy wear due to age, except for what
