Steiff The Junglebook Set giraffe Handmade in EnglandThe Jungle Book was the final animated film to be produced by Walt Disney himself, in 1967. Walt Disney sought to make his version of The Jungle Book a lot more upbeat than the Rudyard Kipling penned. The songwriters wanted a jazz sound, with a Dixieland like melody. When the idea for I Wanna Be Like You was first thought up they married this with the image of an ape who swings from a tree, and hes the king of the apes. And the famous scene was born.
