Sweden, Kingdom. A Cased Royal Order of the Polar Star to Dottore P. Meschini, II. Class Commander, Type II, by C.F. Carlman, c. 1930 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac 73 mm x 295 mm(Kungliga Nordstjrneorden). Instituted February 23rd, 1748. A fine quality example, constructed of gilded silver, consisting of a white enameled Maltese Cross with dual ball finials, with Swedish Royal Crowns in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse and reverse with a circular dark blue enameled medallion bearing a gilded star composed out of five enameled pieces, circumscribed Nescit Occasum (It knows no Decline), with arabesques
