Cyrtanthus 'William Penn' has performed admirably in our garden since 2001, and deserves to be more widely known and grown. Cyrtanthus x henryae 'William Penn', a cross of Cyrtanthus mackenii x mackenii var. cooperi x Cyrtanthus sanguineus x sanguineus var. flammeus, was first published in 1950. For us, the bulbs on this unique amaryllid give rise
