Constructed of stainless steel, the obverse featuring a sloping edge marked with measurements gradated at intervals of 1 centimeter to an overall length of 100 centimeters, with millimeters marks in between edge numeral, rivets with two brass grip studs featuring serrated edges, stamped with a Kriegsmarine acceptance mark and makers mark of ED.
