This sensor can be described as a flow pace sensor, which will throttle back the UV lamp of the system in no flow conditions, thereby reducing heat build up in the reactor and saving on energy. The calibration of the 254NM FP1 is set so the UV system will go into an alarm condition when the UV intensity drops below 50% of the lamp's intensity. 254NM FP1
