Germany, Imperial. A Silver Grade Wound Badge consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac crazing throughout on the frog(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered brass, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath with scalloped edges, surrounding a central Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords on a cut out background, the reverse with a narrow barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 37. 51 mm (w) x 42. 72 mm (h), weighing 7. 3 grams, demonstrating minor loss of finish, in near extremely fine condition.
