MACKELLAR (MODERN) - Tartans beginning with 'F' 'Perthshire Rock & Wheel' orAlison Stewart of the Scottish Tartans Information Centre [Scottish Tartans Society] in July 1964 notes that this sett was first found in the lists of Johnston & Ross about 1930, and that the white and yellow lines were incorporated to mark the fact that the clan was a sept of Clan Campbell.
