Georgian Serpent Charm Holder Pendant three stone ring holding a battle axeDATE: Georgian, c. 1820 Quite unusual, a Georgian period serpent charm holder dating from the early 19th century. The tail forms a bail at the top to hang from a chain, the rest of the body and head looping around underneath to form a hook to safely hang a collection of charms. It's beautifully detailed, with deeply chased scales and cartoonish face. Crafted in 15 karat gold, it was made in England circa 1820 I've never seen another quite like it.
