Asarum kiusianum var tubulosum Aquarius Chamaerops Buddleia 'Lilac Chip'We are very excited to finally be able to share the amazing Japanese wild ginger, Asarum 'Aquarius', our 2024 selection of Asarum kiusianum var. tubulosum. This gem hails from woodlands on the southernmost of the larger main Japanese islands, Kyushu. The attractive silver veined green leaves form a tight, evergreen 4" tall x 1' wide clump, adorned just below the foliage in early May (NC) with dazzling light beige flowers, each with a purple eye ring.
