The Scene (Berlin) - Hiroshi Takizawa Architecture Conscient d’un matériau artistique vivaceThe Scene (Berlin) is based on photographic observations of mirrors in the Berlin subway system. The work combines images of reflections captured in situ with scans of the mirror surfaces, revealing both ephemeral urban scenes and the material traces of the mirror itself. The accompanying text is by Nakao Tokuya. Hiroshi Takizawa's artist books explore the relationship between photographic image making, editorial structure, and spatial perception.
