The family of Attems was a noble family in the country of Friuli. Following the conquest of Friuli by the Venetian Republic, Friedrich Attems moved to Gorizia, becoming the chancellor to the last Count of Gorizia. The Attems played an important role within the Habsburg court and were one of the most influential noble families in Styria
