Instituted 1944 by General Francisco Franco. 1944 present issue. A ball tipped enameled white Maltese Cross in silvered bronze, featuring the inscription S RAYMUNDUS PENNAFORTI (St. Raymond of Peafort) on the 12 oclock and 6 oclock arms, surrounded by a crossed laces in each quadrant also in silvered bronze, obverse depicting an enameled red, blue, yellow, and orange figure of St. Peafort, with beneath
