1890 Wood Engraving Ancient Synagogue Ruins Tell Hum Capernaum XGA7 XDA5 This company is doing itsThis is an original 1890 black and white wood engraving of the Synagogue ruins at Tell Hum, a supposed site of Capernaum. Capernaum was a fishing village during the time of the Hasmoneans on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Excavations have revealed ancient synagogues at this site. One church is said to be the home of Saint Peter. The town was also referred to in the Gospel of Luke and the Gospel of Mark. It was reportedly the home to apostles Simon
