The material is a tribute to the classic striped hickory twill fabric once used in work wear worn by railroad workers. Front pockets are roomy and there is also a side pocket for tools. If you want to use the Wendells for work it's good to know that it is possible to equip them with knee padding as the material is doubled over the knee area. That also makes it easier to repair
