Saxony, Kingdom. An Uhlan Tschapka Plate consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac in order to become Maitre(Sachsen Helmemblem). Constructed of partially silvered brass, the obverse consisting of an eight pointed radiant starburst, overlaid by a central silvered Saxon coat of arms, the reverse with both attachment loops intact, unmarked, measuring 11 cm (w) x 10. 5 cm (h), with sporadic verdigris visible in addition to a possible repair to the three oclock ray, in very fine condition.
